Evelyn Zake

Director

Evelyn is a Rule of Law and Governance expert with a strong background in human-centred development. Her work has focused on decoupling economic development from harmful environmental and social impacts, engendering the work of private sector actors, and operationalising inclusion for Uganda’s diverse landscape. Evelyn is passionate about technology as a tool for refugee inclusion. She holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from Cornell University, New York, and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.

Damalie Tebajjukira

Director 

Damalie is a Development professional with a passion for labour, migrant and refugee rights. Her work focuses on translating technical and regulatory content into accessible strategies, promoting refugee inclusion, and strengthening stakeholder engagement. She is passionate about leveraging behavioural insights to drive impactful development programs. Damalie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from Monash University, South Africa, and an Honours and Master’s in Development Studies from the University of Witwatersrand.

Rita Namugwa

Director (Company Secretary)

Rita is a Lawyer and LINK Director. She holds a Certificate of Eligibility from the Law Council and is enrolled as an Advocate of Uganda. Rita has extensive experience in Corporate, Commercial, Land and Refugee Law, advising companies, start-ups, and entrepreneurs on legal structuring, governance, and compliance. She is an advocate for women’s rights and empowerment and has contributed to projects with Swisscontact and IFC, supporting refugee livelihoods and institutional strengthening.

Aloysius Kiribaki

Advisor – Skills Development, Institutional and Organizational Development

Aloysius is a humanitarian professional with over 15 years in refugee livelihoods and skills development. He has led large-scale programmes, including initiatives in Ugandan and Kenyan refugee settlements, achieving 100% employment outcomes for trained youth through private-sector engagement.

Mary Manyonga

Advisor – HR and Institutional Capacity Building

Mary is a seasoned human resources consultant with 17 years’ experience, supporting inclusive workplaces in banking and microfinance. She has strengthened talent systems serving low-income and displaced communities, advised organizations across Africa, and champions ethical growth, diversity, and people-centered development.

Allan Bukenya

Advisor – Finance and Strategic Partnerships

Allan is an investment and infrastructure finance professional with multi-jurisdictional experience supporting Africa-focused projects. He has worked on renewable energy, transport, telecoms, and special economic zones, advancing sustainable investment, resource mobilization, and development-oriented infrastructure across the continent.

Gloria Kaitesi

Advisor – HR, Media and Comms

Gloria is a senior human resources leader with over twenty years’ experience strengthening inclusive, compliant workplaces. She supports organizational transformation, workforce wellbeing, and skills development, mentoring youth and promoting safe, people-centered environments that enable vulnerable populations to access dignified work and sustainable livelihoods.

 
 

Fred Zake

Volunteer Advisor – Entrepreneurship and Institutional Strengthening

Fred is a senior  consultant with extensive experience advising international agencies on the economic integration of refugees. He has moderated high-level dialogues and implemented programs focused on improving investment climates, access to finance, and sustainable livelihoods for refugee  communities across the Great Lakes and Horn of Africa.

Leon Kalonda

Operations Manager

Leon is a refugee leader and community development practitioner from South Kivu, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), currently based in Uganda. He brings over five years of experience in education, financial inclusion, and community engagement within the Nakivale Refugee Settlement. A multilingual communicator, he speaks English, Lingala, French, and Swahili. He holds a secondary school diploma in General Pedagogy from the Bahati Institute, DRC.

Maimuna Nakanwagi, MBA

HR and Institutional Capacity Building

Maimuna is a Human Resources and Administration specialist with over five years of experience supporting UN missions and humanitarian operations in East Africa. Skilled in HR management, staff coordination, and administrative systems, she is dedicated to strengthening organizational capacity and facilitating efficient service delivery in complex, high-need environments.

Peter Garang, MBA

MSME Solutions Lead

Peter is an agrifood systems expert with over 14 years of experience enhancing food security in East Africa. He has managed projects in post-conflict and refugee-adjacent regions, including Karamoja and West Nile focused on communal farming and livelihood resilience. His work with the Green Horizon project in South Sudan also aimed at empowering communities through agricultural production and capacity building. 

Mariam Tomno

MEAL and Comms Lead

Mariam is an administrative and communications professional supporting refugee and host community programs in Kenya. She has coordinated scholarship initiatives, TVET partnerships, and social cohesion projects, working with ILO, NGOs, and community stakeholders to promote skills development and livelihoods in fragile contexts.

Corinne Chance

Refugee Relationship Officer

Corinne is a Congolese polyglot with 4 years of experience as a technical interpreter, n and client support across East Africa. She leverages fluency in French, Swahili, Kirundi, Kinyarwanda, and Luganda to bridge communication gaps,  and ensure confidentiality in high-stakes environments. Committed to providing empathetic, professional service to vulnerable communities.

Lawa Nizigama

Receptionist

Lawa is a Burundian multilingual professional with experience in customer service and hospitality roles in Uganda. She has worked as a customer attendant, providing front-line client support in fast-paced environments while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail. Fluent in Kirundi, Kinyarwanda, and Kiswahili, and proficient in English and Luganda, she is able to communicate effectively with diverse communities. Lawa is recognized for strong interpersonal skills, organization, and the ability to learn quickly, and is committed to delivering reliable and friendly service while contributing positively to team environments.

Kevin Kusiima

ICT Lead

Kevin is a seasoned IT specialist with expertise in digital marketing, web management, and comprehensive technical support. He is dedicated to enhancing operational efficiency, stakeholder engagement, and organizational communication through innovative digital solutions.

Ruth Zawedde

Agronomist

Ruth is an agronomist and farm manager with expertise in greenhouse operations, sustainable crop production, and farmer training. Her work centres on improving yields, reducing post-harvest losses, and equipping communities with practical, hands-on agricultural skills. At LINK, Ruth plays a vital role as a liaison for refugees engaged in agriculture, helping to advance climate-responsive farming approaches and strengthen livelihood opportunities. She supports the LINK community to access agricultural employment and entrepreneurship pathways, encouraging young people to take a more active role in one of the country’s leading economic sectors.
